Celebrate the uniqueness of each child and family around play based learning with professional and supportive staff. Warekila Preschool has groups for both three and four year olds.

We currently have limited vacancies in both our 3yo and 4yo kindergarten programs for 2018, but please be quick as places are filling up fast. Find out more about enrolment.

The preschool is located in a quiet residential setting adjacent to the Eastern Freeway in Nunawading, conveniently also servicing surrounding eastern suburbs of Blackburn North, Blackburn, Mitcham, Doncaster, Box Hill and Box Hill North. It's only 7 minute walk to Whitehorse Primary School and St Phillip's Primary School.

Opened in 1968, it was the first purpose built kindergarten in the area and its unique hexagonal design allows for ease of supervision, both indoors and out. Staff are experienced, caring and welcoming.

At Warekila, we aim for children to be happy, independent and confident individuals and members of the group. We endeavour to foster children's innate curiosity and creativity by providing appropriate and extensive learning experiences. Of particular interest is music, drama, language, literacy, imaginative play and sensory experiences.

Both indoor and outdoor play form an integral part in children's development and therefore form an important role within the programme.

Why do parents love Warekila?

"Large indoor & outdoor spaces and great wide verandahs where the children can still play outside when it's wet. The children love the cooking and using the vegies they have grown."

"I love the small class numbers, the great play spaces and that all the staff are experienced and really get to know each of the children."

"We love the caring nature of the teachers and am amazed at how quickly my son has learnt skills to prepare him for school."
